Western and Southern Open Semifinal Gauff vs Swiatek

The semifinals of the Western and Southern Open kicked off Saturday morning with a match featuring world number 1 Iga Swiatek of Poland taking on world number 7 American Coco Gauff. Gauff would take the first set in a tiebreaker, before being broken twice in the second. In the final set Gauff broke Swiatek early, and the world number 1 could not recover sending Gauff to the final to face Karolina Muchova who would go on to defeat Aryna Sabalenka later in the day.
