Everyone is questioning the James Franco allegations because they seem more mild than the Harvey Winston ones.
One allegation was from his ex Violet Paley. Paley said Franco exposed himself and tried to pressure her into oral sex. They were in a consensual relationship but she said: “that time wasn’t consensual.”
Two students of his claimed the Franco got angry on set when they would refuse to film topless. Another student claimed he removed safety guards while filming an oral sex scene on the set of the 2015 film The Long Home.
Does this make him a sexual predator and worthy of the #metoo movement going against him?
PERSONAL OPINION: Hard for me to say. I think these women's opinions matter. He made people uncomfortable and that is NOT okay. These women do deserve an apology. Should Franco lose his career? I don't think so. He would seek out these women personally and figure out where he went wrong and how to adjust himself in the future. I don't think he's incapable of changing (harvey on the other hand....). Franco has been a verbal advocate of the #metoo movement so I hope he continues to be one and lets this experience change him for the better.
