A nurse named Madeline Eskins, who was at Astroworld, described what the incident was like.
"Nothing could have prepared me for what I saw. It was absolutely insane. I've never seen anything like that in my life," she said.
She said that the crowd was so tight that she couldn't breathe and, at one point, passed out. "I was trying to jump up and lift my head up so I could get air," she added.
She said that they crowd surfed her unconscious body to safety, and when she woke up, she began helping people because of her nursing experience.
She also said there was not enough medical help or equipment to attend to all the people who needed it.
“Some of them had little to no experience in this type of situation," she noted.
