National Minority Donor Awareness Month: Michael Cummings

Local Cincinnati resident Michael Cummings has been dealing with health issues since he was 25-years-old. He's been on dialysis for more than 30 years. Through three kidney transplants, a heart bypass surgery, and other procedures, he estimates he's received multiple gallons of blood from Hoxworth Blood Center. His wife and daughter started donating blood to help people like Michael. Donors like Delores Cummings are critical to help patients in our local Cincinnati area hospitals because often-times people need more than just the same blood type. You can learn more about minority donors here.
