Christina Von Handorf fought a valiant battle with cancer receiving multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation over the course of 15 months. Sadly, she passed away in 2024 at the age of 35 leaving behind countless friends, many family members, her husband and two sons. Christina's loved ones wanted to continue her legacy soon after her passing. In June of 2024 Comey & Shepherd hosted the first memorial blood drive in Christina's name. The drive will continue this June hoping to get even more donors, especially first-time blood donors. Hear from her friend and coworker, Molly, on how Hoxworth Blood Center helped Christina during her treatment and now, this blood drive is helping those left behind to heal.
