Seems like it was just yesterday when we were still in our "Bengals Blur" as excitement overcame our city given that our hometown team was playing in a Super Bowl. Fassssssst forward and my head is spinning from all of the incredible friends I've made in a radio studio in Kenwood. I'm 5 months into this "JonJon & Friends" concept that so many great people here in Cincinnati have helped me bring to life. A podcast-style show that features different "hosts" (my friends) as often as humanly possible. It's sticking...and I owe you for that. When the Mayor of Cincinnati agrees to appear on your show, I think it's safe to say, "we're not in Kansas anymore"...(google it :D)
A thousand times...THANK YOU so much to those of you who have been featured, who tune in, or who are just now hearing about this little ole radio show for the first time. I've watched featured friends who met ON MY SHOW go on to collaborate WITH EACH OTHER on their own projects. Gives me goosebumps to think that I may have played a small role in bringing some incredible locals together. I've always said, I wanted this show to be "Cheers on the radio". I'd say the only thing we were missing were the cold ones, but even that was covered when Karrikin Spirits & 16 Lots put some "on the house" for us. And of course, my new Skyline friends took National Chili Day to a new level...
The Mayor of Cincinnati, the CEO of Jeff Ruby Culinary Entertainment, and two TV meteorologists walk into a bar...to find it's actually a radio station & some loud local named "JonJon" just wants to learn about them. Lame joke, I know. But at least you're still listening :D... and so am I!
Bring on Spring! I've got more friends to make....
