PHOTOS: 2025 Cincinnati Open Rd 3 Jovic vs Krejcikova

Round three matches continued on Tuesday at the Cincinnati Open. Opening the day on the Grandstand was American Iva Jovic facing off with Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic.

Jovic, the 17 year old from Los Angeles, was coming off of a win over the 20 seed Linda Noskova.

Krejcikova defeated the 10 seed Elina Svitolina to make it to this match.

The first set saw Krejcikova get an early break, and holding serve to quickly jump ahead 1 set. Jovic would strike right back, getting a couple of breaks of her own early in the second set, evening the match at one set apiece. Krejcikova would jump out to a 3-0 lead to start the 3rd set before Jovic could hold serve. Krejcikova would get another break, forcing Jovic to serve to stay in the match at 5-2. Jovic couldn't hold, and Krejcikova would take the win.

Barbora Krejcikova defeats Iva Jovic 6-4,3-6,6-2.

Krejcikova will face the winner of Jasmine Paolini (Italy) vs Ashlynn Kreuger (USA) in the round of 16.
