PHOTOS & AUDIO: 2025 Cincinnati Open Rd 1 McNally vs Inglis

Two local players are in the main draw in the 2025 Cincinnati Open. Thursday night saw Peyton Stearns of Mason pick up a big victory on Center Court over Yafan Wang of China. Friday night is was Madeira's Caty McNally's turn.

McNally faced off with challenger Maddison Inglis who was fresh out of qualifiers.

McNally was coming off of ITF titles in Rhode Island and Evansville IN, was looking for her 2nd win at her hometown tournament.

Inglis was looking for any momentum having not won a main draw match since the WTT W100 event in Tokyo, Japan in April.

Early in the 1st set, McNally took command, going up an early break, and cruising to a first set win. She would slip a little to start the second, but rebound and take the match defeating Inglis 6-2,6-3. She will now face McCartney Kessler in the 2nd Round. This will be the first meeting between the two.
