2024 Cincinnati Open Round 1: Navarro vs Andreeva

American Emma Navarro has had a really good summer season coming into the 1st round of the Cincinnati Open. She was looking to keep it going from tour newcomer, 17 year old Russian Mirra Andreeva.

From the start of the match Navarro struggled to keep the ball down, and get her serve in. Andreeva to her credit capitalized on her opponents slow start, and never let the former Virginia Cavalier gain any momentum running her off the court and a little over an hour 6-2, 6-2.

Andreeva will move on to round 2 to face Karolina Pliskova, who defeated Viktoriya Tomova in 2 tiebreaker sets on Tuesday.
