Hilary Duff's husband Matthew Koma has her back.
The 37-year-old Lizzie McGuire star shared a series of new selfies on her Instagram this week, shining bright in a sunshine yellow sweater as she posed for the camera. While most of the comments were nothing but supportive, with several fans exclaiming how "stunning" and "beautiful" she looks, one critic had a decidedly less positive reaction, per Page Six.
"Why did she do Botox, I swear to god everyone else is the same," the online troll wrote.
Duff's husband seemingly caught wind of the comment and didn't let the rude remark slide, replying, "Get fckd [sic] butterfly," a reference to the hater's username.
Fans of the How I Met Your Father actress were loving Koma's response to the mean comment and left their own messages of support, such as one user who wrote, "@matthewkoma showing everyone how great husbands stick up for their wives 👏." Others replied to the original critic to ask how what Duff does to her own body affects them.
"who cares what she does with her body/face? Why even comment? She's a kind person many of us looked up to growing up and she can do whatever she wants. Hating on other women is so toxic," one fan commented, while another wrote, "Why would you pose such a rude and ignorant comment? If you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all."
Duff and Koma have been married since 2019 and share three children together: Banks, 6, Mae, 4, and Townes, 11 months. Duff is also a mom to 13-year-old son Luca with ex-husband Mike Comrie.
