Lady Gaga is such a lyrical genius that she penned one of her biggest songs in mere minutes.

The "Abracadabra" singer made an appearance on Hot Ones on Thursday (February 13) where host Sean Evans followed up on a comment Gaga once made about her hit song "Born This Way," the lead single off her 2011 sophomore album of the same name, per People. Evans noted that the Grammy Winner previously admitted to writing the track in "10 f---ing minutes" and compared it to "immaculate conception."

The bold statement even surprised Gaga, who asked, 'Oh my God, I said that?" before confirming she did actually write the popular song that fast while in the midst of her creative process.

"For 'Born This Way' and a lot of my songs, I hear it pretty quickly and then I just have to follow it," she said, adding, "To me when I'm making music, I say that I'm listening, so it's a feeling of receiving, which is probably why I made that really dumb comment about myself."

Gaga is gearing up to release her forthcoming album Mayhem next month, her long-awaited seventh album and follow-up to 2020's Chromatica. She recently compared the project to another one of her beloved works.

Mayhem drops March 7. Watch Gaga take on the Hot Ones challenge in the video below.
