2024 Cincinnati Open: Doubles: Stearns & Linette vs Mattek-Sands & Kenin

Cincinnati native Peyton Stearns played double duty on Wednesday. After falling to Paula Badosa earlier in the day, she would team up with Poland's Magda Linette to take on the American team of Sofia Kenin and tour veteran Bethanie Mattek-Sands. The match would be a quick back and forth with Kenin and Mattek-Sands taking the 1st set before Stearns and Linette would seize the 2nd. On the ATP and WTA tour, 3rd sets in doubles is decided by a 10 point tiebreaker, which Stearns and Linette would take winning the match 3-6, 6-4, 10-8.

Stearns and Linette will move and play Linda Noskova and Diana Shnaider in the next round.
